 Strategic keys to achieve

1.  Operating a Mission Center / a “Missions Spring-Board"
  • Our basic strategy: to know GOD and Make Him known. To this end, we continue to exercise a holy life, a sanctified life-style, a life equipped to witness Jesus, and a complete reliance on the Holy Spirit.
  • To nurture spiritual leaders through intensive discipleship training, to equip and prepare this generation of Christians, and to commission them to participate in world missions through strategies which embrace the nations.
  • To operate the Mission Information and Strategy Center: researching and collecting data on multi-ethnic people in the Greater Toronto area (GTA). This data will be available for the needs of individuals and churches.

2.  Facilitating a multi-ethnic ministry
  • To recruit 1.5 generation, and second generation Korean immigrants for effective communication and ministries within and outside our organization. We encourage an open and embracing attitude towards all ethnicities.
  1. To provide bilingual communications and translation for the staff of our multi-ethnic mission centre.
  2.  To expand the boundaries of each ministry, moving from Korean-focused to multiethnic-focused.
To this end, continuous direction, adjustment, and encouragement are required.
  • To target East Africa, Central America, South America, and East Asia for outreach opportunities. We will continue sending teams strategically to Mexico, Brazil, North Korea, Tanzania, Kenya, and Japan.
  • To encourage efforts to connect and partner with local churches of various ethnicities and languages for the purpose of expanding our perspective and networking for ministry.

3.  Mission Mobilization and Intercession
  • To intercede for the nations and mobilize saints for world missions by consistently hosting internationally-themed worship and intercession meetings in the GTA, together with the greater multi-ethnic church body (W.A.N.T. Services).
  • To function as a pioneering base centre – cooperating with all branch bases through consistent prayers and the sending of supporting mission teams.

4.  Unity with local churches
  • To see all YWAM Toronto staff actively serve in the local church.
  • To encourage all participants involved in every ministry from YWAM Toronto to actively serve in the local church.
  • To serve local pastors with various seminar opportunities, equipping them as spiritual leaders.

5.  Functioning as Hub
  • To serve as a mission bridgehead for world missions.
  • To continue to pray and send teams to mission fields where we have previously conducted short-term missions.
